There are several reasons why you may receive multiple alerts. Here are a few typical reasons why you might be getting several alerts.
Alert must be properly configured #
The configuration of alerts must be done correctly in order to avoid false alerts and unnecessary notifications from occurring and for alerts to be sent when necessary.

The device data has some trouble #
It is possible that the device is having connection troubles because of low network connectivity.
As a result, data transmission may be stopped or delayed, generating incomplete data.
If the device is not receiving enough power, it could not work properly which might end up resulting in incomplete data.
