In order to use the Bongo-IoT platform, we must first comprehend the user hierarchy, which entails being aware of the different degrees of access and permissions that are granted to different users inside the system.
The fundamental tenet of user hierarchy is that no account can have more rights than any other. Before starting Bongo-IoT, it’s crucial to arrange the hierarchy.
A step-by-step guide to get you started is provided below:
Account Types: #
There are 3 account types in Bongo-IoT:
• Admin
• Reseller
• Company
Admin #
On Bongo-IoT, a person who has complete access and control over the system is known as an Admin. The platform administrator is responsible for controlling platform settings, configurations, and user accounts. The platform administrator can control the data, assign roles and permissions, and add new users.
The user will receive access to their manager accounts, which Bongo IoT will build.
Anyone with the authority and duty to do so within the business is able to make any necessary changes to the administrator account. They are in charge of making sure the platform is performing as it should.
Admin Sub user #
An administrator in Bongo-IoT can create a sub-user to create a new user with unique rights and permissions.
The rights of sub-users are constrained by their obligations. This allows for more effective management of the administrator account and guarantees that only permitted users have access to sensitive information.
Please Note: You can access the administrator account by entering the login information that Bongo IoT gave you.
You can modify the admin account’s settings and set up the account for the admin sub-user after logging in.
Reseller #
The admin will sell Bongo-IoT to a distributor known as a Reseller, who will then purchase it and resell it to its customers.
According to the needs, the admin establishes one or more reseller accounts in the program.
The reseller can then alter the program, brand it with their own logo, and establish their own pricing structures. Resellers may provide Bongo IoT as a stand-alone product or integrate it with their own services in order to provide their clients with a comprehensive solution.
Reseller Sub-User #
A user account created by the reseller for their staff is known as a reseller subuser in Bongo-IoT. The subuser account is used to grant the reseller’s staff access to the Bongo-IoT software and is linked to the reseller’s account.
The reseller can control how much access the subuser has to the software as well as the billing and account information for the subuser.
Please Note: Admin will create a reseller account and then, the Resellers can login to their account. A reseller subuser can be created once the Reseller account is created.
Company #
An organization or company that uses the Bongo-IoT software to manage their assets, fleet, or staff is referred to as a Company in Bongo-IoT . Any form of business or organization that has to track assets or manage its personnel qualifies as a corporation, including those in the transportation, manufacturing, construction, or other industries.
Company Sub user #
As a Company subuser in Bongo-IoT, a user can be given access to and control over various parts of the company’s activities by creating additional users and assigning them various responsibilities and permissions.
Please Note: An Admin/Reseller will create a Company and a Company subuser.
Branch #
A branch in Bongo-IoT is a place or a company’s physical presence. For instance, each of these sites could be regarded as a branch in Bongo-IoT. if a Company had numerous offices or warehouses spread throughout various regions.
Users of Bongo-IoT can create and manage several branches within a single Company account, which is advantageous for companies with a functional organizational structure or those who conduct business in multiple locations.
Please Note: You can add a new Branch. If a Company doesn’t have any Branch, then, a Branch will be created by default by the Company’s name.
Vehicle #
Any tangible item or asset that is being tracked and watched over by the program is referred to as a “vehicle” in Bongo-IoT. Examples of vehicles in Bongo-IoT include machinery, automobiles, products, and other inventory items. Every item in Bongo-IoT has a unique identity that enables tracking of it from the moment it is added to the program until it is removed.
The technology makes it simpler to efficiently manage inventories and assets by allowing users to examine real-time information on the location, status, and history of each thing.
Please Note: You can add vehicle either manually or do a bulk upload.
Driver #
An operator of a vehicle or piece of equipment that is being tracked and managed on the platform is referred to as a “Driver” in Bongo IoT.
To ensure efficiency and safety, drivers might be given specialized cars or pieces of equipment, and their actions can be watched.
Please Note:
- You can upload driver records either manually or do a bulk upload.
